Glenfiddich, the world’s most awarded single malt, is a true reflection of the pride, passion and integrity passed down from our founder William Grant. William Grant watched the first pure spirit flow from his second-hand copper stills on Christmas Day 1887. Over five generations later, Glenfiddich is still run by his pioneering family.
For Glenfiddich Vintage Cask Scotch Whisky, hand selected casks of peaty malts are matured in European and bourbon vintage casks and then married in the Cask Collection Solera Vat No.3. Our European oak casks give a vibrant toffee apple character and our Bourbon casks impart layers of smoky embers and velvety vanilla smoothness which, in combination, ensure a luxuriously smoky, intense and velvety whisky.
Nose: Freshly cut straw and bonfire smoke on an autumn evening. The intermingling of the smokiness and leafy, floral notes is quite mesmerising.
Taste: An initial burst of sweetness with vanilla, crème brûlée and citrus is immediately followed by a rush of smoke, burning embers and meadow flowers. The flavour meanders from sweet to smoky and back again with every sip.
Finish: Sweet oak and dry smokiness.
