A 12 year old single pot still Irish whiskey.
Rather than being simply a 'finished' whiskey, Yellow Spot contains whiskey matured for a full 12 year period in three oak cask types: American bourbon barrels, Spanish sherry butts, and uniquely, Spanish Malaga casks. The influence of the Malaga cask brings an exotic sweet note to the whiskey. Within the Single Pot Still genre of Irish whiskey you will find the idiosyncratic range of Spot Whiskeys. This family of Whiskeys find their roots in one of Ireland's last remaining Wine Merchants and Whiskey Bonders, Mitchell & Son Ltd.
Back in the days when distilleries would sell their new make spirit to bonders who matured them in wine and fortified wine casks, Mitchell & Son developed a reputation for creating some of the finest Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey to be found in the capital. They matured their whiskey in casks under the streets of Dublin in a network of underground cellars. When the fortified wine casks were filled (exclusively with Jameson from Bow St. Distillery) and brought back to Mitchells, they were marked with a daub or 'spot' of paint which identified how long they would be matured for. Blue for 7 years, green for 10 years, yellow for 12 years and red for 15 years - hence the name Spot Whiskey.

Terminal 1 Arrivals: After you pass through Customs and enter the Arrivals Hall, the Click & Collect desk is conveniently located on your right.
Terminal 2 Departures: After you pass through the security screening area, walk through the shopping area and you will see the Click & Collect Collection Desk at the end of the walkway.
Terminal 2 Arrivals: Immediately after you pass through the customs screening area, you will see The Loop arrivals shopping area on your right. Our collection point is located here.
Cork:
