The Balvenie is dedicated to the five rare crafts that are used to create The Balvenie's distinctive taste. It is the only distillery that still grows its own barley, uses traditional floor maltings and keeps both coppersmiths and coopers on site –making The Balvenie the most handcrafted of single malts.
Each expression has a very individual taste, but is rich, luxuriously smooth and underpinned by the distinctively honeyed character of The Balvenie. The Balvenie Distillery is built on stories. They are Balvenie's lifeblood. In an industry where everything is codified, they don't write a huge amount down. Instead, they pass on what they know, from one person to the next, story by story…
Back when some of today's distillery workers were still but loons and quines, David C Stewart was working on a new creation. It would become the world's original cask-finished single malt Scotch whisky, the making of which involved maturing the liquid in one cask, before transferring it to finish maturating in another. The Creation of a Classic, a sweet and syrupy expression of The Balvenie with a touch of vanilla oak and ginger spiciness, finished in sherry casks.
- Aromatic and lively
- Base of earthly, malty undertones
- Nose: Aromatic and lively, aromas of vanilla and spice evocative of dried clove and chai are layered on a base of earthly, malty undertones reminiscent of Balvenie's own barley loft
- Palate: A perfect complement of light oatmeal syrupiness and brittle toffee are followed by delicate hints of spice and a rich drying sensation from European oak
- Finish: Lingering, lasting dry oak
With our FREE Click & Collect service, you can now place your order up to 12 hours in advance of collection and pick it up from one of our convenient collection points in Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 in Dublin airport or in Cork airport (72 hours in advance for Cork).
Prefer to travel handsfree? You can shop online before you fly and collect your purchases on your arrival back into Ireland. We only need 12 hours* to prepare your order and we’ll have it ready and waiting for you at the Click & Collect desk in the Arrivals Hall. There are so many ways to shop at theloop.ie

Terminal 1 Departures: Our Click & Collect desk is conveniently located in The Loop Store, directly after you exit security.
Terminal 1 Arrivals: After you pass through Customs and enter the Arrivals Hall, the Click & Collect desk is conveniently located on your right.
Terminal 2 Departures: After you pass through the security screening area, walk through the shopping area and you will see the Click & Collect Collection Desk at the end of the walkway.
Terminal 2 Arrivals: Immediately after you pass through the customs screening area, you will see The Loop arrivals shopping area on your right. Our collection point is located here.
Cork:
Departures: Directly after security, at the Click & Collect desk in The Loop store
Arrivals: At the Information Desk in the Arrivals Hall
